Public Relations Day 2017 Celebrated

40th Public Relations day 40th Public Relations day celebrated by PRSI Jaipur Chapter on Sunday, 23rd April 2017 at Indra Lok Auditorium in Jaipur. Incidentally the Jaipur Chapter of PRSI had completed its journey more than 25 years so, the PR day of this year was organized as Silver Jubilee of the chapter. The theme “Salutation: Indian Armed Forces” of PR day was given by National President, Dr Ajeet Pathak.

It was heartening to note that a large number of dignitaries including PR professionals, PR Educators, students of Public Relations, Journalism & mass communication from the colleges/universities in Jaipur wherein these subjects are taught and other guests from relevant fields grace the programme.

40th Public Relations dayShri Ram Charan Bohra, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) was the chief guest while Dr Ajeet Pathak, National President of PRSI presided over the function. Prof. Sandeep Sancheti, President of Manipal University- Jaipur Campus was guests of honour and Brigadier Harkeerat Singh VSM was kind enough to be the guest speaker on the occasion.

At the beginning of function guests on the dais were welcomed by garlanding them. The guests then garlanded the Picture of BHARAT MATA (Mother India) & lighted the lamp. 

Shri Mahendra Jain, Chairman of PRSI Jaipur Chapter gave his welcome address. While welcoming the dignitaries on dais & all the guests in the audience, he briefed the activities of Jaipur Chapter. In reference, the theme he said we salute the Indian armed forces for their bravery & sacrifices who are providing us the sense of securities all the time. He condemned the stone throwing & attack by terrorists in Kashmir & Naxal areas on armed forces.

Salutations: Indian Armed ForcesDr. Ajeet Pathak, National President of PRSI stated that all the chapters of PRSI are celebrating this year’s PR day on the theme “Salutations: Indian Armed Forces”. He said we have chosen this theme to express our high gratitude  & solidarity with Indian forces for their sacrifices and dedication for Mother India who is guarding our nation against external as well as internal enemies. Dr. Pathak said that while defending the honour of our country from enemies, our forces have constantly been helping the government in settling internal disturbances and also helping civilians within the country during natural disastrous. He also recited his poem “Pathar Ka Sambodhan Kashmir Ko” midst of loud clapping.

Prof. Sandeep SanchetiProf. Sandeep Sancheti , President, Manipal University –Jaipur Campus complimented the role of Indian Armed Forces in defending the country from external threats & assisting the fellow countrymen during internal disturbances & calamities.  On emphasizing the need of PR practices in day to day life, He said Public Relations has great significance in interacting & communicating with the public and nobody can deny the importance of PR in image building & branding of individual & organizations. One can express better himself if he has good PR understanding with his public/ audience.

Brigadier Harkeerat Singh Brigadier Harkeerat Singh VSM spokes on Indian Army’s strength & services in war & peace. He said Indian armed forces ceaselessly involved in serving the nation defending border & coastline round the clock. He said Indian army while defending the external enemies, Indian army also helps civil administration in combating natural calamities.  Sometimes its services are needed in maintaining peace during internal disturbances within the country. He said army also involved in nation building by encouraging sports & games and other social welfare activities.

A short film titled “Army the power of nation” was also screened which thrilled the audience.

The chief guest Shri Ram Charan Bohra admired the role of Indian army in defending the country from external enemies and maintaining internal peace within the country if the situation demands. He said as our brave army keeps itself always vigilant, we all civilians enjoy safe & peaceful living in comfort zone. He also congratulated the awardees who have been awarded for their excellence performances.

Executive member Shri Govind Pareek introduced the theme of programme & Jt. Secretary Dr. Sanjay Mishra recited a Poem titled” Sainik Ka Sankalp. Another executive member Shrimati Saleha Ghazi conducted the programme.

The programme was followed by sumptuous lunch.
