National Public Relations Day -2002 celebrated by PRSI Jaipur Chapter

National Public Relations Day – 2022 was celebrated by members and well wishers of Public Relations Society Of India ( PRSI) Jaipur Chapter on Thursday, 21st April 2022 at Hotel Renest, Jaipur.

At this grand function Lokayukt of Rajasthan Justice Mr. Pratap Krishan Lohra was Chief guest and the Information Commissioner Mr. Narayan Bareth was guests of honour.

Former Director of Public Relations Dr. S N Singh IAS (rtd.) Presided over the function.

Prof. Sanjeev Bhanawat, former HOD of Center of Mass Communication, University of Rajasthan delivered the key note address on the theme of this year ” Building Trust : Shaping – up the new world with Public Relations.

Honourable guests expressed their views on the current situation wherein our society is phasing a difficult time due to vested interest, rumers, fake news which is creating lack of inter personal trust.

However, they expressed hopefully that Public Relations professionals can help a lot to bridge the gaps and build & strengthen the trust amongst humankind by using their goodwill guesture techniques based on truthfulness.

Chief Guest Lokayukta Justice Mr. Pratap Krishan Lohra said that social media can be a lifeline for public awareness. For this the medium has to be transparent, truthful and responsible. He said that in this era of misleading messages, the responsibility & role of Public Relations Professionals has increased. He appealed to PR Professionals to work hard to disseminate the true & factual information to public.

Dr. Satyanarayan Singh who presided over the function, said that the administrators can educate and inform to the general masses about beneficiary schemes of Govt. through efficient public relations. He called upon the public relations professionals to enhance their knowledge and communication skills by updating themselves with new techniques.

The keynote speaker on the occasion, Prof. Sanjeev Bhanawat said that Public Relations have played an important role in the Kovid pandemic period. A positive atmosphere was created through constant efforts. This feeling became the foundation of victory over Corona epidemic by keeping high morale of Public. He said that it is important to have truthfulness in public relations. He described Gandhiji as the greatest & ideal Public Relations Professional, who through his massive involvement with general public, united the country in a thread of unity and India achieved the freedom.

The guests of honour on the occasion, Mr. Narayan Bareth, the Information Commissioner of Rajasthan draw the attention towards the environment of hate speech and misleading messages through some illustrations and said PR Professionals should filtered the same to find truthfulness of these messages. It is their moral responsibility.

At the outset, Chapter Chairman Mr. Ravi Shankar Sharma welcomed the guests and enlightened the activities of the PRSI & the Jaipur Chapter by highlighting the details of this year’s theme. and told about the chapter’s future programs.

Secretary Mr. Devisingh Naruka proposed the vote of thanks.
On this occasion, in a large gathering of public relations professionals and their families more than a dozen PR Professionals have also been felicitated for their excellence in PR practices .

Veteran PR Professional Rtd. Jt. Director Public Relations, Gov. of Rajasthan and founder Secretary of PRSI Jaipur Chapter Mr. Ram Swarup Joshi was felicitated by ” JAN SAMPARK SHRI AWARD “.
Ms Veena Karamchandani, Ms Kavita Joshi, Sumnesh Sharma and B L Bhateja were presented by ” Jansampark Utkrastata Samman “.
Dr. Manoj Kumar Lodha and Dr. Rayaz Hasan were presented ” Jan Sanchar Shikhshan Visistata Samman.

” Visist Uplabdhi Samman was awarded to Mr. Ramphool Gurjar, Ms Reshma Khan, Mr Nirmal Goyal, Mr Yogesh Kanva, Mr Atma Ram Singhal and Dr. Chandradeep Hada.

The programme was concluded followed by sumptuous dinner.
